Terms of Service.
Last updated: 28 July 2026
1. Agreement to terms
By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Where a family has signed our enrolment terms, those enrolment terms govern that enrolment; these terms apply in addition, and where the two differ, the signed enrolment terms prevail.
2. Services
Project Agora provides educational services including courses, workshops and tutorials for students. We may modify or discontinue offerings, and will give reasonable notice where a change affects an active enrolment.
3. Registration
You agree to provide accurate information when registering or enquiring, and you are responsible for safeguarding any account credentials and for activity under your account.
4. Enrolment and payment
Full payment is required before a course begins unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing. Fees are non-refundable except as set out in the refund policy below.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellations more than 14 days before the course start receive a full refund minus an administrative fee; 7–14 days before, a 50% refund; fewer than 7 days before, no refund.
6. Attendance, absence and make-up lessons
Consistent attendance is what allows a student to progress, and we ask families to help their child attend wherever possible. Where a class is missed, each student is offered one make-up class per calendar month, subject to availability and to keep arrangements fair across all students. Additional make-up lessons may be considered at our discretion. Make-up bookings are arranged by Project Agora — please contact us rather than arranging directly with a teacher — and we will always try our best to find a suitable class.
7. Photography, recordings and student work
We are proud of our students' creativity and achievements. Unless a parent or guardian tells us otherwise in writing, we may use a student's work (such as written assignments, artwork and projects) together with photographs, video and audio recordings — including recordings of speeches and presentations — for educational and promotional purposes. This may include our website, social-media platforms, print materials and other public or internal media. Permission may be withdrawn at any time in writing, and we will act on that promptly.
Placement interviews are recorded for training and quality purposes; the student is told this at the start of the interview and may ask us to stop. All personal data and recordings are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.
8. Safeguarding and student wellbeing
Our teachers work to a written safeguarding and conduct policy. Contact with students takes place only through approved Project Agora channels — never private messaging, personal phone numbers or personal social-media accounts. If you ever have a concern about a student's wellbeing or about a teacher's conduct, please contact us directly and we will respond promptly.
9. Intellectual property
All website and course content belongs to Project Agora or its licensors. It may not be reproduced, distributed or modified without our written consent.
10. Conduct
You agree not to use our website or services to violate any law, transmit offensive material, or impersonate any person or organisation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project Agora is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use, or unavailability, of our services.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
13. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance.
