What we teach

One weekly online class of ninety minutes, all year round, for ages 7 to 18. Three to seven students with one or two teachers. Every month is one project, taken to completion.

  1. Harvard-style debate: justice and bioethics.
  2. Lincoln-Douglas value debate, the American format almost nobody teaches in Asia.
  3. British Parliamentary and Oxford Union debate.
  4. Model United Nations.
  5. Criminology and criminal law, with a mock Hong Kong trial.
  6. Uncomfortable Oxford, in Hong Kong: students guide the public.
  7. A brain-science podcast, aired on Spotify.
  8. Publishing a real book on Amazon.
  9. The John Locke essay prize.
  10. The TED-Ed stage.

Who teaches

Secondary teachers from Oxford or Cambridge; primary leads with six or more years with children. All native English speakers. Lessons are taught around a Harkness table, so the students carry the discussion.

Four stages

Bulb (7–8), Bud (9–12), Bloom (13–15) and Blossom (16–18). A free thirty-minute interview is the way in.
